What Social Days Are

MDGC Social Days are casual club rounds with Metrix scoring, divisions, handicap prizes, and closest-to-basket prizes.

Friendly Competition

Play a rated-style round, meet other members, and compare results without needing a tournament-level day.

Simple Divisions

Players are grouped by Metrix rating, with separate X/Z classes for unrated players and non-members.

Prizes Every Round

Each played round has handicap prizes and CTB prizes, paid as MDGC vouchers.

Divisions

Your division is based on your Metrix rating on the day, unless you are unrated or playing as a non-member.

Div B845 to 889 Metrix rating
Div C790 to 844 Metrix rating

How Metrix Handicap Works

Handicap prizes use Metrix's handicap calculation, not your raw score alone.

Prize graphic example Net 36.17, Raw 45 (-11)

Raw Score

Your actual total throws for the round. Lower is better.

+/-

Your raw score compared with course par. A score of -11 means eleven under par.

Handicap

Metrix estimates a handicap from your rating and the course. Higher-rated players receive less help; lower-rated players receive more.

Net Score

Raw score minus handicap. Handicap prizes are awarded by lowest net score, so a player with Raw 45 and handicap 8.83 has Net 36.17.

Safety & Etiquette

Social Days use public parks and shared courses, so safe, friendly play comes first.

Park Users Have Right Of Way

Wait whenever there is any chance your throw could reach another person.

Check Your Starting Hole

Cards can change before tee-off, so always confirm your group and starting hole in Metrix.
